to queue early as by mid morning the queue is often
enormous. Once inside head straight for the Sistine
Chapel and view Michelangelo's ceiling.
It can be reached by public transport
in less than 30 minutes. The ceiling in the Sistine
Chapel moving west to east depicts the Separation of
Light from Darkness, Creation of Sun, Moon and Planets,
Separation of Land and Sea and the Creation of Fishes
and Birds, the brief but nevertheless romantic encounter
between Adam and Eve, Temptation and Expulsion from
Paradise, Sacrifice of Noah, Flood and Inebriation of
Noah.
